Makhluk hidup memiliki naluri untuk melestarikan keturunan atau bereproduksi. Kucing pun mengalami hal itu. Ketika usia sudah matang, kucing memiliki kebutuhan untuk kawin. Kamu sebagai pemiliknya wajib mencarikan pasangan untuknya.
Atau kalau kamu ingin kucing bebas dari birahi, kamu bisa mendatangi dokter hewan untuk mensterilkan kucing. Tetapi ketika kamu ingin memiliki kucing kecil yang lucu, kamu bisa mencarikan pasangan saja.
Tetapi bagaimana tanda kucing yang birahi alias ingin kawin? Tanpa perlu basa-basi, langsung kita bahas saja ya guys!
Merasa Gelisah
Apabila kamu biasanya mendapati kucingmu tenang dan tidak banyak tingkah, maka ketika ingin kawin kucing mendadak menjadi gelisah. Ia selalu tampak mondar mandir seakan kebingungan mencari sesuatu.
Ketika ia dibiarkan berkeliaran mungkin ia tidak akan segera pulang karena sedang mencari pasangan sendiri. Tetapi kalau kucingmu ada di dalam rumah, maka ia akan mondar mandir.
Kalau kamu menangkap momen kucing bertingkah seperti itu, bisa dipastikan bahwa ia sedang birahi. Namun, pastikan bahwa kucing telah masuk pada usia matang ya!
Bersikap Lebih Manja
Kucing berusia matang yang awalnya bertingkah biasa tetapi tiba-tiba mulai bersikap manja bisa jadi ia sedang birahi. Kalau sudah ada tanda seperti ini, kamu harus mencarikan pasangan untuk kucingmu.
Sikap manja akan ditunjukkan oleh berbagai hal. Misalnya mengikuti kemana pun kamu pergi atau sering menggigitmu. Hal itu semata karena kucing merasakan bahwa dirinya mulai ingin kawin. Dan hasratnya harus segera disalurkan dengan dicarikan pasangan.
Spraying Atau Pipis Sembarangan
Spraying adalah pipis dengan tujuan untuk menandai suatu wilayah atau ingin mengundang lawan jenis agar datang. Kucing jantan sering melakukan spraying saat tiba masa kawin.
Upaya itu dilakukan agar kucing betina mendekat. Nah, kucing betina melakukan hal serupa. Mereka akan pipis sembarangan pun dengan tujuan untuk menarik lawan jenis.
Kalau tanda ini terlihat, jangan tunda lagi untuk mencarikan pasangan. Bila terus-terusan spraying, satu rumah bisa bau pipis kucing nanti.
Mengeong dengan Keras
Kamu pasti sering mendengar kucing mengeong dengan keras saat akan kawin. Mereka biasanya hendak memperebutkan betina yang ada di depan mata. Yang menang bertarung nanti berhak kawin dengan kucing betina.
Nah, kalau suara itu terdengar amat keras kamu tidak perlu khawatir. Memang begitulah siklus kawin kucing. Apabila masa kawin telah usai maka mereka akan berhenti sendiri. Tenang saja.
Mudah Marah dan Agresif
Kucing birahi tidak semenggemaskan biasanya. Mereka cenderung lebih agresif dan mudah marah. Barangkali kamu bisa menjadi sasaran kemarahan mereka.
Nah, hal itu jangan dianggap berlebihan guys! Memang begitu kebiasan kucing saat sedang masuk masa kawin. Kucing pun ternyata bisa menjadi lebih sensitif ya, apalagi manusia.
Oleh karena itu, segera carikan pasangan ya kasihan tuh kucing kalau kelamaan jomblo. Hehe.
Naluri kawin memang dimiliki oleh setiap makhluk hidup, terlebih kucing. Sebagai pemilik kucing yang baik, kamu harus membantu kucing untuk menyalurkan naluri itu. Boleh dengan mencarikan pasangan atau bila tidak mampu lebih baik disterilkan saja.
Karena naluri yang tidak tersalur itu akan membuat kucing stres dan menjadi kurus. Bantu kucing agar hidup lebih sehat salah satunya dengan mencarikan pasangan hidup untuknya.
